Low volume, long service life

Vehicle builders are usually converting from steel or from a welded multi-part assembly. Aluminum's strength-to-weight ratio is the obvious reason, but the bigger gain is often integration: ribs, channels and mounting features can be extruded into one section, which removes parts, fasteners and assembly labour from the build.

Because extrusion, machining, fabrication and welding are in-house, a body or frame component can arrive cut, drilled and welded rather than as raw lengths. On a build of a few dozen vehicles, that removes a great deal of shop-floor time.

Every fastener removed from a vehicle build is a part that cannot loosen, corrode or be fitted wrong.

For mill-finish extrusions using existing tooling, typical lead times are approximately two weeks, although this may fluctuate depending on production scheduling and seasonal demand.

New projects that require die manufacturing, sampling, or additional finishing processes may require additional time. Our team works closely with customers during the quoting and design phase to establish realistic timelines and ensure efficient production scheduling.
