Architectural aluminum is judged twice: once by the structural engineer and once by whoever looks at the finished building. Both readings have to pass, and the second one is unforgiving about colour variation between lengths.

Structural performance and a finish that matches

Curtain wall, window and facade sections carry wind and dead loads while holding glazing and thermal breaks in position, which is why higher-strength alloys such as 6061 and 6082 appear alongside 6063 in the same system. Sections up to 28 ft mean fewer joints across a facade.

Colour consistency is the part that gets noticed. Anodizing across a facade has to match between lengths and between batches, and our lines handle architectural lengths up to 27 ft in a single pass — so adjacent members are finished together rather than in separate lots that may not agree.

Nobody notices a facade's structural calculations. Everybody notices a length that does not match.

Dajcor Aluminum operates multiple extrusion presses, including two 9-inch 2800-ton presses, one 8-inch 2800-ton press, and one 7-inch 1650-ton press. These presses allow us to manufacture a wide range of aluminum profiles for structural, architectural, automotive, and industrial applications.

Our extrusion capabilities support profiles with a circumscribing circle diameter (CCD) of up to approximately 11 inches, with extrusion lengths of up to 28 feet, depending on the profile design and alloy.

During the design and quoting stage, our engineering team reviews each profile to confirm compatibility with our press capabilities and to ensure the extrusion can be manufactured efficiently while meeting dimensional and performance requirements.
